Hi, I’m so glad you’re here! My name is Eliana Hazel, and I’m the voice behind this blog. I live in Tennessee with my husband and our two beautiful kids – a lively little boy and a sweet girl who keep our home full of laughter, questions, and happy chaos. I’m 33 years old, and my favorite thing in the world is creating a warm, loving space where my family and friends feel cared for, well-fed, and welcome.
I’ve always believed that food has a special power. It brings people together. It makes memories. It comforts us when we need a little boost and celebrates life’s happy moments with us. This blog is my way of sharing that love with you.

My days start early because, as any parent knows, kids are usually ready to go before the sun is up. I love to have a calm morning, so I wake up before everyone else and spend a few minutes stretching or doing yoga. This quiet time helps me feel balanced and ready for the day. After that, I head to the kitchen to prepare breakfast. I like to keep mornings healthy but simple — fresh fruit, homemade pancakes, scrambled eggs, or a quick green smoothie.
After the morning rush of school drop-offs, I usually head to Walmart to pick up groceries. I enjoy walking through the fresh produce section, picking out colorful vegetables, and thinking about what meals I can create with them. Shopping for food makes me happy because it feels like the first step in making something special for the people I love.
When I come back home, I take time to prep veggies, chop fresh herbs, and plan our meals. Cooking is my creative outlet. I like to start with a recipe but then add my own touch. Sometimes that means swapping one ingredient for another or mixing in a spice I haven’t used before. My family has become my best taste-testing team. They never hold back their opinions, which is how I know when a recipe is worth sharing here on the blog.

I’ve always loved recipes, but what really excites me is experimenting with them. I’m not afraid to try something new in the kitchen. If I see a dish that looks interesting, I think about how I can make it my own. Maybe I add a twist, like using zucchini noodles instead of pasta, or I switch a sauce to make it lighter and fresher.
Cooking this way keeps me curious and inspired. It also keeps my family interested in trying new flavors. My husband loves my homemade soups, my son loves when I try a new pasta recipe, and my daughter is always ready to taste anything sweet I bake. Food is how I show love, and I think my family feels that in every bite.
On this blog, you’ll find recipes that are simple enough to make on a busy weeknight but full of flavor and personality. I write my recipes with step-by-step instructions because I want you to feel confident in your kitchen, even if you’re trying something new.

I love spending time with my friends, too. A few times a month, we plan a girls’ day out. We grab coffee, laugh about life, and catch up on everything. But some of my favorite moments are when they come over to my house. I love serving them the recipes I’ve been working on, especially my green smoothies. It always makes me smile when they take a sip, ask what’s in it, and then say, “You have to share this recipe!” Moments like that remind me why I started this blog — to share those little wins and those little joys.

Food is just one part of how I care for myself. I also make time for yoga and meditation. These two habits keep me grounded and help me handle the busy pace of life with two kids. Yoga gives me energy and helps me stay flexible, both physically and mentally. Meditation helps me slow down and appreciate small moments, like my kids’ laughter or the smell of something baking in the oven.
I believe health is about balance. I love a colorful salad just as much as I love a fresh batch of chocolate chip cookies. You’ll see that balance in my recipes here. Some are light and nourishing, perfect for a reset. Others are cozy and comforting, because life needs a little sweetness too.

This blog is my kitchen journal. It’s where I share the recipes I make for my family, the ones my friends love, and the ones that make me feel good inside and out. My goal is to inspire you to cook at home, try new ingredients, and enjoy the process.
You’ll find a mix of recipes here — breakfast smoothies, family dinners, weekend treats, and healthy snacks. I test every recipe myself, so I know it works, and I write clear instructions so you can follow along easily.
I also share little tips about meal prep, cooking hacks, and kitchen tools I love. These small changes can save time and make cooking easier. My hope is that my blog makes your kitchen a place where you feel excited to cook, not stressed.

Everything I do comes back to my family. They are my biggest motivation. I want my kids to grow up knowing the joy of a home-cooked meal, the comfort of eating together, and the fun of trying new foods. I want them to remember the smell of fresh bread in the oven and the sound of everyone laughing around the table.
Cooking for them makes me feel connected. It’s my way of saying, “I love you.” It’s also a way of passing on traditions and creating new ones. Every time I try a new recipe, I think about whether it’s something we’ll want to make again for birthdays, holidays, or just on a cozy weekend.
I’m so excited you found my blog. I hope it feels like a friendly kitchen where you can pull up a chair, grab a cup of tea, and find something that makes you excited to cook.
Whether you’re looking for a quick dinner idea, a healthy breakfast smoothie, or a fun new dish to try with your kids, I want you to feel at home here. I want you to know that cooking doesn’t have to be stressful or complicated. It can be fun, creative, and deeply rewarding.
So grab your favorite pan, roll up your sleeves, and let’s start cooking together. I’ll be here sharing my family-tested recipes, my kitchen experiments, and a little bit of the joy I find in feeding the people I love.
Thank you for being here. I can’t wait to hear what you’re cooking and how my recipes turn out for you. This blog is not just about my journey — it’s about building a community of people who love food, family, and connection as much as I do.
